Milan has three main airports, Linate, Malpensa and Bergamo.
Linate airport is the closest one to the city center and it is possibile to get there using the public transports:
- Bus 73 connects the airport to San Babila square (Duomo area) from 5.35 am until 0.37 in the morning.
- Bus 73X also connects the airport to San Babila square with only one intermediate stop in Tricolore square (the route runs on weekdays only).
- Bus shuttles to Central Station run frequently throughout the day from Arrivals. A single way ticket costs 5 € and you can download the timetable here.
Malpensa airport is located outside the city and has two terminals.
If you fly to Terminal 2 you can only take a bus shuttle that connects the airport to Central Station with a stop on request at Rho Fiera. Stops are just outside Arrivals and there are two companies in charge of the service:

We suggest you don't purchase the tickets on the plane: the price is the same, however you will have to wait for a Malpensa shuttle coach. Buy it at the bus stop and get on the first one that leaves instead!
If you fly to Terminal 1 you have the additional option of getting the Malpensa Express train (here you can find more information).
Trains run between the airport and Cadorna Station (Sforzesco Castle area) or Central Station.
A single way ticket costs 11 € to Cadorna and 10 € to Central Station, and it's a 40 minutes journey stress free from Milan traffic during rush hours.
Because some runs have intermediate stops at Busto Arsizio, Saronno and Milano Bovisa (if you are going to Cadorna) or in Milano Bovisa and Milano Garibaldi (if you are going to Central Station) the lenght of the commute changes.
Note that the Malpensa Express train does not go to Terminal 2 therefore the quickest and easiest option to get there is the bus shuttle from Central Station!

Bergamo Orio al Serio (recently renamed Caravaggio International Airport) is about one hour away from Milan.
There are three coach companies running the service between the airport and Central Station:
There is the possibility to ask for an intermediate stop in Cologno Monzese (with Terravision) or at the underground stop of Cascina Gobba (with Autostradale).
